Living on Your Overdraft is a Sign!

Budgeting is not a punishment,

it’s the path out of HELL!

Blindly accepting that living paycheck to paycheck is okay may be setting you up for failure and it is most likely affecting your future in more ways than you know.

I come from a long line of people who use the phrase, “If I need more money I will just go work more…”

Not any More… the world is changing.

I was definitely like this when I was younger. If I needed money I just worked more, If I wanted to buy something I worked more, if I wanted to pay off debt…

That’s right, I worked MORE!

I must say, it was nice to go through life in this kind of fantasy land notion that I could just do more when I needed to. Then it happened, life happened, I could no long flip the switch and make more money.

At first, I tried to live the same lifestyle, then I started making small adjustments… I even started working extra and had a second job. I was not rich and working a second job seemed reasonable but without a budget I was still spending and there was very little savings.

Skip forward and I got sick, my health was deteriorating, and my financial situation was going with it. I found out why you don’t live paycheck to paycheck, I found out why you need an emergency fund, and I found out that budgeting is much easier than losing everything.

Sure, you probably know people that make it work. There are people that never have anything bad happen to them until they die, but do you really want to play truth or dare with your financial security?

I mean really think about all the people who are homeless these days, is the worst-case scenario worth the risk?

If you want to play a game, sit down and figure out how much you spend in a month, then figure out how much you put into monthly bills, the other is things you could probably cut out or cut back on.

Of course, you keep telling yourself, “I can cut back anytime I want” …

So, what’s stopping you?

The fact is we program our selves to spend, with the help of all those businesses that want our money, what you need to do is start programing yourself to save.

Start budgeting and figure out how you can stop living paycheck to paycheck!
