YouTube Monetization Challenge

I’m giving myself 4 months to get monetized on YouTube!

So, this is not a super impressive amount of time…

On YouTube, creators brag about getting monetized in days or weeks… maybe it’s Click Bate?

I started YouTube a little over 3 years ago… approximately. My longest running channel is just over a year, and my newest channel will be new this week. I am going to monetize at least one of them in 4 months.

Now, you may be saying,

“why only one, why not all of them?”

What I have done is start 7 channels with 7 different characteristics, therefore the strategies needed for each of them will be slightly different.

Again, you may be wondering how I know this if I have never monetized a channel, simple…

I don’t!

I have watched all the gurus, I have tried several channels, and I have finally figured out my strategy…

No, I’m not telling you in my first blog…

Essentially, it all has to do with,

“Getting to the point,” …

unlike what I am doing with this blog post!

Since starting I have been studying thumbnails, titles and I know this is how to get clicks on my videos. The trick is not to get everyone clicking but to get everyone that will watch that type of video!

NO CLICK BAIT!

The second is to have a hook that gets someone watching past the first 10 seconds and then make it enticing enough to go well beyond 30 seconds.

These few little things may seem unimportant, but I feel that if I can make this a priority, I will crack the YouTube algorithm!
